Notice of Civil Partnership fee policy

A ‘Notice of Civil Partnership’ must be given in person at least 16 days before the civil partnership is due to take place if you are having the ceremony in England or Wales, but can be up to 21 days if you are having the ceremony abroad.

Each notice is valid for one year. If you decide to change venue, a new ‘Notice of Civil Partnership’ must be given in person at least 16 days before the civil partnership is due to take place.  You both must give notice in person - no one else can do it on your behalf.

Deposit and cancellations 

A deposit of £35.00 per person is payable at the time of booking by credit or debit card. If you attend the appointment, the deposit will be used towards payment for the service. 

If you need to cancel or make changes to your appointment, two full working days notice must be given to re-arrange an appointment and two full working days notice are also required to cancel any appointment before a refund will be considered.

There will be no refund for non-attendance or if the Registrar abandons the appointment. To avoid the appointment being abandoned due to incorrect documentation being provided, please read the terms and conditions and ensure that you bring the correct paperwork with you.
